Get Trained
To train your dog go to their profile. On the left hand side there is a light bulb icon. Click that and it will take you to the training popup page.
If your dog is brand new. You will have to train them in a sport. On the popup page there will be a link on the bottom that say "Train Dogs Name Here in New Sport!". Click it and it will take you to the training center. |
When you are directed to the training center you will see your dogs stats at the top and recommended sports below it. The game does a awesome job at guessing what your dog will do best in by his/her stats. It goes without saying you need to match the highest stats with the trained sport. The first one is usually the best option. One thing you want to look out for are the sports name in BOLD. To the left you can see Fido has Tracking and Herding in BOLD letters. This means this dog has a Aptitude for these sports. You can also find a list of your dogs aptitudes on your dogs About page.
|
You will also notice that some stat sets below the sports name are also in bold. This is because these stats are associated with your breed groups stats that are naturally higher and get a slight boost compared to other stats when leveled as you can see to the right.
When choosing a sport, it is always encouraged to pick from the recommended list. Second, look for your dogs highest stat and make sure the recommended sports carry that stat. Third, always choose a sport that has your dogs aptitude. If your dog has multiple aptitudes then choose the sport that is associated with the breeds group. |
**Note, you can train a dog in 2 sports if the dog is under 16 days and you have one of the following. The Career Trainer, Double Training Pamphlet, Ditto Training Ticker, or a Definitive Double Training Guide.**
Now that your dog is train, it is time to show them. The training center should redirect you to your dogs page after training. Go to the left hand side and click the training icon again. A popup will open again and you will be able to train your dog to increase their learned % in that sport for that title you are working on.
After that click the show icon "the trophy". You will be able to enter your dogs in shows from there. If you have a basic account you can enter 30. 50 if you are a Elite account. You will see there are several options for you to choose from.
If double trained select the sport with the higher %. This will give a higher chance of them having a 'focused day' which will help in shows.
Set your max fee you are willing to pay PER SHOW.
For preference there is a few ways to do this.
- Cheapest - If you are new and don't have much cash
- Highest Prize - I would suggest this only if you have great competition dogs.
- Fewest Entries - Will give your dog more of a chance to win titles because of fewer competitors, these tend to be more expensive though.
- Bias - Will judge a certain stat. You can not control which stat though.
Secondary is just as it says.
For most player wanting to level fast there are two ways. Bias preferred (make sure you have a collar, leash and food boosting each of the sports stats). Secondary fewest entries.
The second way is boosting the highest stat and placing them in fewest entries, highest prize.
